The math, in plain sight.

Daily capacity
Floor of (available hours × 60) ÷ (session minutes + reset minutes).
Monthly sessions
Daily capacity × operating days × booked utilization, rounded down.
Operating contribution
Sessions × (realized revenue − variable cost) − attributable monthly fixed costs.
Simple payback
Upfront investment ÷ positive monthly operating contribution.

This is a single-device planning model, not an accounting profit calculation. It excludes taxes, financing, depreciation, ramp-up, downtime beyond your entered availability, replacement costs, and resale value. It assumes stable utilization and pricing. Include every attributable operating cost in your inputs; don’t double-count revenue from memberships or multi-modality bundles. No data is saved or sent when you use this calculator.
